ANGRY MACHINES

By K. Edward Torkelson

July 31, 2000

It’s 6 AM

My world is coming to life in this suburban complex

It’s summer time

The sun is rising

Last night’s cool still persisting

The first bird begins to sing

A calm breeze blows from the north

My community is at peace

I take a step outside

Sitting down I smoke a cigarette

I survey the buildings around me

The trees, the hillside

My mind is serene

My ears are attune to the quiet

A car starts and calmly rolls forward

Down the roadway over the speed bumps and vanishes into the morning

The mood is sedate

Then, suddenly it happens

An angry machine!

Its’ engine revs fast and loud

Next kicked into gear

It takes off skidding

Barely slowing or not for the speed bumps

The peace, calm and serenity, shattered!

Behind the angry machine an amateur

Amateur with the machine

Amateur with the road

Amateur at life

The professionals, with their machines

Came before this morning

I barely noticed them

They even complimented the morning

Yet, it always happens

The angry machine!

Day after day

I’m wishing that their amateur’s fathers would take their machines away

Son,

Give me the keys

You don’t know how to live

You’re on restriction, to protect your life, forever, Amen.

OFF HOLD

By Keith Torkelson

(12-22-98)

The kid is back

He has his wondrous mind

In addition, should also read

The kid is back

He has his stable body

Should also read

The kid is back

He has his vast emotions

Should also read

The kid is back

He has his deep psyche

Should also read

The kid is back

And he has his light spirit

Now the questions

Where was the kid?

Where were these faculties?

Where is the kid now?

With all his faculties

Healing, growing up again

Those are a few of my needs

Please, walk through my door

And feeling

These are a few of my needs

Please, walk through my door

Hoping

Trusting

Lastly loving

These are a few of my needs

Please, walk through my door

There you are!

The girl my dreams have shown

The lady of my vision

PUBLIC ART

By Keith Torkelson

July 17, 1995

If you could only see through my eyes

A multitude of flesh on the beach under sunny skies

Exhibition, wonderful

The colors, beautiful

Of course there’s the derrières

Easy to do justice with the zoom

Here the ladies excel

Their forms, the truth they tell

I freeze-frame it all

The busts big and small

Little concealing on the sandy California beach

Generous, sinuous shapes just out of reach

Legs, hips and waist

Tan lines and flowing hair dressed to my taste

Females sauntering to and fro

Makes me, this dude say whoa!

One piecees

Twos

Solids

Floral patterns and stripes

I am the con of public art

I appreciate and capture this art

I seek, see, click and share

Women’s and God’s gifts with great care

THE QUICKENING BY LIPS

By Keith Torkelson

July 16, 1995

Time has stopped

Love’s happening

There is only one

Her complimentary taste

Something I will remember forever!

Nothing was ever better

Our impatience and harmony

My commitment to this love everlasting

With lips, the quickening

I feel safe within her domain of attraction

Her look of beauty

With my desire I flame

I trust that all will be well

I honestly feel that this love was inevitable

We explore our zones erogenous

She wears light silk

Her body oozes with sensuality

The quickening by lips

Our secluded spot

I want you to kiss me she says

I acknowledge passionately

The feel

Waves of tingles throughout my body

Her sparkling eyes

Soft and tender flesh

Awaiting

The quickening by lips

(Circa: 1978)

[ComPare and ConTrast]

I ask you to think!

As we require time to ponder

I will provide a home to wonder

Meat to eat

Clothes to wear

Data to process

And a kiss cause I care

Today we get love in our home

With a trust of our own

-------

Do as I ask

As you will see

Is no easy task

For those like yee

Get what you want

For a fee

With the largest fee

For me!

SHE TOUCHES ME

By Keith Torkelson

July 7, 1997

Awaken my lovely one

Good morning

Let us stop time again

You undressed damsel

These days I am happy, joyous and free

Moving in and warm

I am getting better

I appreciate and commit to you

Rediscovering you each morning

You are so alive, vibrant

It is a pleasure living with you

Your presence graces the world

You are there for me

Know I am there for you

Peace be with you

All my love, for my love

TRUE TEXT

By: Keith Torkelson

September 23, 1981

Now knowing to listen to what is next

Truthful data transmission is the field of this text

You who work hard

Take time to expose your mind

Time moves fast

Yet, do not grasp

Listen for the past.

            Many choose not you know

It is too easy not to choose

            I know

            Excusing the grammar

On day one we became the programmers.

Now knowing

Code one for knowledge

Following college commence application

Input salvation.

It is difficult to be your own programmer

            Data entry with a hammer

            The documentation exists

            Albeit not in book,

            cinema, nor song

            It persists

            Yet, can take long

            Meanwhile be strong.

I express love in my song!

The summation on this explication in trust is,

NO FEE REQUIRED!  K.E.T.09.23.81

Note < Very Long

TURN BABY TURN

By Keith T

April 1997

I’m listening

You talk of pain, defeat and cruelty

You talk of dying by your own hand

I’m listening

You talk of going out

You talk of solitude

You know you have just begun

I’m listening

I can’t help you

You must pray for the mighty hand

Again, again and again

Forever

Turn it over

You’ll find the answers

Only if you are willing to change, to grow

I’m praying on your behalf

I’m loving you

I’m listening

Catch yourself

Set yourself free, to live again

I see a tragic past

I see an intricate problem

Use your mind

Solve those problems

Not alone

Can I help?

You need a poke, a prod, prayer

If you die I know I will see you

I will bury the letter you wrote with you

With a short epitaph

If I should die today know

I loved you as I loved no other

Not meaning to crowd you

I am very grateful for the time we share

If only you could feel as good as I do

            When I’m feeling good

If only I could look as good as you do

As you do when you are mischievous

You have a mind

Just hang with more and more healthy minds

            and you will flourish

There is a time to live

There is a time to die

I can see both in your dualistic eyes

Your eyes burning with memory

Keep telling me your stories

I will listen

You gave me a huge dose of your pain

I can only take so much, and then I need to pray again

I thought that I had suffered

You my dearest truly know hell

We met there

No, we are not in heaven, yet

But, I sure as the all mighty have hope we will rest there

I’m wishing to reminisce with you

On a white cloud of angels

They in their battle wings

Readying to kick some serious shit out of the unforgiving

Forgive yourself for your past misgivings

Pray to the LORD for pain relief

Turn it over

Praying

Work and walk you talk

Please, be happy in all that you have

            accomplished since our meeting

If you can trust someone

Trust in yourself, you progress

The letter you wrote to me speaks of devotion

I am grateful to have you as a friend

While, many have gone

Yet, now is the time to hold and nurture

            what you have got

Be the gorgeous woman you were meant to be

I could write much more

But, as you said you are all right, the worst is over

And it is time to have some cake and eat it to

Thank you for letting me snuggle up to your feelings

One of your tears dropped on my hand, it is cool

Play cool, collected, making a concerted effort to come together

            right now

As I’m seeing you as a beautiful lady

Ignite your afterburner

flying with the greatest of ease

About the earth or away, to the stars

Please LORD: Offer her peace on earth

That she may not die on herself

She has too much to offer

May she recover giving

May her fighting and struggling abate

May she do anything to stay clean

In times of trouble let her pick-up the phone and call

Pray a prayer

“Bring her your bow of burning gold

Bring her your arrows of desire

May she not cease from this mortal strife

Nor shall her pen sleep in her hand

Till she has built Jerusalem in the warm, forgiving sand”

Love you all that were, are and going to come

PoemUnforgetableMoment19980703 V2024

AN UNFORGETABLE MOMENT

By: Keith T.

July 3, 1998

Just a blue eyed kid of 4 years

She, just a blue eyed 6 years old

She changed my life forever

She played teacher

She asked me to her parent’s bathroom

Saying pull down your pants, I did

She pulled up her dress and u-ware down

I saw her bare bottom

The image burned into my memory

One unforgettable moment

For better or worse I liked what I saw

She took it a step further

She said touch us together

Now rub

-------

Some girls want it

And apparently want it young

The next day we did it again

In her backyard amongst the bamboo shoots

She said don’t tell anyone

She said we could never do it again

Why did she do this little experiment--pure science?

Why was I so fascinated--applied science?

I can see it clearer now

An unforgettable moment
