UC Davis Professional Nutrition Exam

World Wafers Idea

20171020-F: Insight Brief – UCD Vet Med Core - Nutrition
January 25 1990 (Thursday):  We were accepted to the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine for 1988.  Yet, due to medical issues we took leave.  January 1990 would have been our second quarter of measured progress.  It is interesting to us to figure out the day of the week because in our second year curriculum planner changed the testing policy.  All exams were moved to Mondays.  This was effective because more students showed for TU-F classes.  We looked over the questions in this sample exam and we could not completely and correctly answer the majority of them as of today.

Rework Option for Exams – Speed Testing
The option to rework was a unique feature with our professor for this exam.  Make note that some courses are team-taught and thus the professor proctoring the exams will change throughout the quarter.  By the time I was in vet school I had changed my testing approach.  My new approach had me finishing early.  So the second exam when I finished early the proctor professor looked it over and said go back and rework question (let’s say) ten (10) I replied Aw! I’ll keep it.  It turned out my exhaustive answer could have been replaced with about three (3) lines of text.  The issue was that I was overly trained as an undergraduate and graduate about Nutrition.  I would rather show the depth of my understanding rather than get the answer perfect.  This has cost me class high on more than one occasion.

20171020-F:
"Please note:  Due to the recent hurricanes, the VMCAS deadline has been extended to September 29, 2017 @ 8:59 p.m. PST.  All applications, eLORS, GRE scores and transcripts must be submitted to VMCAS by this extended deadline."

Note
It doesn’t make sense to go very deep into the application process.  For us the eLORS is new.  Back in the 1980’s in order to get and application package was to request it by mail or stop by the Student Services on campus office.  Good luck to any one that desires to pursue a career in Health.
